Vikki Hutchinson with The Beaders Soul

Vikki Hutchinson is a local bead artist and instructor from the Columbus area who has 20 years of experience in the art of jewelry making.  She was chosen to attend a week long Marcia DeCoster's  Master Design Class during the 2013 Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, WI.

Growing up in the country, Vikki learned to be creative and find ways to occupy her time.  This is when she found her love for crafting items such as jewelry.  She made her first piece at the age of 8, macrame bracelets with beads.  Vikki said, she is sure everyone in the family got one that year for Christmas!

Vikki has practiced string art, knitting, cross-stitch, clay work, candle making, large scale macrame (wall hangings, plant hangers, etc.), basket weaving and occasionally has broken-out her sewing machine for a project or two. 

Through the years Vikki has learned from many different jewelry instructors and has incorporated their styles into her own.  

Vikki loves creating jewelry with her own hands.  This art form is a natural fit to express her creativity.  With the endless options there is always something new and exciting to make no matter the skill level.
