“Every bowl that we sell at Empty Bowls represents a family that’s going to be fed,” said Julie Gonzalez, assistant director for the Wiregrass Area Food Bank. .
On Monday, January 13th from 6-8 pm (CST) ~
Join Lynn Koning with Play in the Clay Pottery Studio and Old Pecan Factory to glaze bowls from stoneware clay. As a community volunteer you will decorate a bowl that will later be sold at Empty Bowls Dothan’s February 2025 fund-raising event. Empty Bowls Dothan will be entering its thirteenth year. The sales from the bowls will be donated to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank.
There will be no monetary charge for this community workshop, just your time and a small contribution for Ms. Lynn’s gas money. If you want to purchase your bowl (proceeds will go to the Wiregrass Area Foodbank) you can . The workshop is for ages 14 and up. During this season of giving we hope you will help raise awareness about our communities’ hunger by joining us to make a bowl.
